I'm Jacob, the founder a lead tutor of History Intelligence. I've taught History in the UK and internationally for over 15 years and have extensive experience tutoring students online, with excellent results.

I graduated in History and Arabic from the University of St Andrews and hold a PGCE (teaching qualification) with Distinction in History from Oxford University.

While teaching, I've supported a wide range of students in their education, from students achieving the very highest grades to those who have struggled with their studies. As such, I've gained a great deal of experience in helping any young person to achieve their best in History.

Integral to my educational approach is my own interest in History and the way in which it is taught. I have created educational resources for the Historical Association, the South Korean government (in a project on the remembering the Korean War) and for an American online course provider.

In addition, I currently write and research scripts for a documentary YouTube channel The People Profiles, reaching over a million subscribers. I have also created and presented episodes on the channel's subsidiary, The People Profiles Extra.

Back in 2016, I set up my own YouTube channel 'Mr Keet on Location' where I create my own mini-documentaries. The aim here has been to help my own students see and experience more of that vast ocean of knowledge which the past has to offer, in places they wouldn't necessarily be able to visit.

My online tuition sessions centre on the needs of each of my students in History. What are they struggling with? How can they be challenged and pushed? How can they develop their understanding and find the right language to build an argument? I will equip them with the tools that they need to achieve more in their study of the past.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you, or your child's educational journey in History.
